Archbishop Fedor (in peace Bubnyuk Valentin Leonidovich) was born on July 21, 1978 in the village of Lipno, Kivertsy district, Volyn region, in a family of teachers.

In 1995 he graduated from Lipny Secondary School of I-III grades and in the same year entered the Volyn Theological Seminary.

In 1999 he graduated from the Volyn Theological Seminary and entered the Kyiv Theological Academy.

On May 6, 1999, His Eminence Metropolitan Jacob of Lutsk and Volyn ordained him a deacon, and on May 23 of the same year, he was ordained a priest.

From June to November 1999, he served as a priest in the parish of the Ascension of the Lord in the village of Rokyny, Lutsk district, Volyn region.

On November 15, 1999, he transferred to the clergy of the Kyiv Diocese to continue his studies at the inpatient department of the Kyiv Theological Academy. With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus’-Ukraine Filaret, he was appointed rector of the parish of St. John Chrysostom. Roosters of Fastiv district of Kyiv region.

On April 18, 2002, he was appointed full-time priest of the Church of the Holy Intercession in Solomyanka, Kyiv.

In June 2003 he graduated from the Kyiv Theological Academy and received the degree of Candidate of Theological Sciences, defending his dissertation “External activities of the Russian Holy Synod in the late nineteenth – early twentieth century. XX century ”.

On August 26, 2003, he was ordained a monk named Fedor (in honor of Rev. Fedor, Prince of Ostroh, Kyiv-Pechersk) and was enrolled in the fraternity of St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery.

On August 29, 2003, he was appointed Assistant Inspector and Lecturer at the Kyiv Theological Academy.

On April 27, 2004 he was appointed Secretary of the Academic Council of KDAiS. On March 10, 2005, he was appointed Chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs by the Holy Synod of the UOC-Kyiv Patriarchate.

On March 9, 2006, by the decree of His Holiness the Patriarch, he was appointed Deputy of the St. Feodosiya Stauropean Monastery in Kyiv and Secretary of the Holy Patriarch.

On October 20, 2006, by the decision of the Holy Synod of the UOC-Kyiv Patriarchate, he was elected Bishop of Poltava and Kremenchug. On November 12, 2006, he was ordained Bishop of Poltava and Kremenchug in the St. Volodymyr Patriarchal Cathedral in Kyiv.

He was awarded the highest church awards: the Order of St. George the Victorious (December 14, 2006).

On January 23, 2012, by the Decree of His Holiness Patriarch Filaret, he was elevated to the rank of archbishop.
